263 Main Street

Johnson Family Home

March 9, 1989

The house was contracted to be built by Robert Finley, a successful farmer in 1906 for his mother Lydia. She never lived there and was occupied by Finley's farm hands until my grandparents purchased it in the 19'teens. My dad came of age in that house as did I. We moved from the "Susie Judd" home farther north on Main St. in 1955 when I turned eight. Many very fond childhood memories last from both homes.

My grandpa, George Wolf built the stairs to the second floor.

The house was dismantled in April 1997 by the Azemi Family

It was taken piece by piece on a flatbed truck to Maple Park

The lot where the house stood is located directly south of the Bliss House Museum.
