The Assembly Building was also know as the Thayer theater. Plays were performed there. There was also a two lane bowling alley and we also recall a pool table in the basement. The main room had a large balcony over looking the main stage. there was a ticket window onthe outside. The lobby had stars painted on the ceiling. It was adjacent to The Central School Building and was connect by a brick breezeway.It was the victim of several arson fires in the 1980's.
