The Steam Tunnels

The vast network of underground tunnels used for utility service. This is how the terms, "Northville Tunnels" "Sheldon Tunnels" or simply "The Tunnels" became the source of more than two decades of urban legond and teenage right of passage. These allowed access to almost every building. Large steam pipes, water pipes etc ran thought out the complex. They mostly followed the main sidewalks that covered the grounds. They origionated at the Powerhouse, the lowest part of the complex. the pipes were covered with asbestos but that didn't seem to discourage tresapssers from using the tunnels to descretly move around the campus.
