There were two outdoor wading pools. One was located south of Cottage 3 and the other was located by what is now "Sheldon Park" off Cypress Point Drive The wading pools were a mystery to us. We only knew of their existence because they appeared on the 1942 Sanborn Insurance Company map. It is designated by two large circles. The only physical evidence them were the large cement circles that existed where the pools were supposed to be. Charlie, a former student was able to shed a little light on it, saying he remembered two pools having statues in them. They were most likely a Works Progress Administration project.
Thanks to Tatubob, we finally were lucky enough to see one of the annual reports that had a picture of the pool on the cover.
