Assumed position as head of WCTS Day School on January 5, 1959. Came from 10-year post at Bay City Public Schools special education department, and lectured part-time in Bay City Junior College psychology classes. Born and raised in Millington, MI. Taught naval school for 12 years and was sonar instructor at submarine school at San Diego during WWII. Received B.S. from Central Michigan University, M.A. in special education from University of Michigan in 1951. Continued doing “considerable” study beyond his master’s degree at U of M; made many appearances lecturing on special education in Bay City; married with two children, both are teachers. Lived in WCTS Teacherage, but was to make permanent home in Northville as soon as convenient.
